I Feel like Blogging…Sometimes

In my opinion, blogging is all about sharing a part of yourself.  If someone can learn something or be helped by your blogging, then it is well worth it to blog.   So, I blog…sometimes. 🙂

I don’t have time to read all the many blogs I’m subscribed to or have voluntarily offered to follow, but I try.  I find that I learn something about the other out there in the world, too.

Communication is so essential in our lives, for it the woof and warp of life itself!  It IS life!  Life survives and thrives by and with and in communication with the other.  There wouldn’t be so many divisions in every area of life if we actually sat down and got in communication, now would there?

And that, that is in communication, is in community….  Oh, how I love the word community.  From that we get communion*.

Have a wonderful rest of the day!  And thanks for allowing me to commune with you.

If you feel that you cannot communicate as you wish to in life, then by all means check out the helpful, free course here.  You’ll be happy you did! 🙂

No Retirement for Me

To work or not to work.  That is the question when one reaches the age of retirement which is usually around the age of 65.  Why it is a question at all should be looked at.

You might want to consider that the body was meant to be busy and industrious.   It was meant to be used with the idea that it will serve us well, if used and not abused.

When one goes away for vacation and is absent from work, or the body lacks work then one finds that illness and a sluggish body results.  This we know essentially already.

Should one consider retirement?  I AM (and there’s those two little words again-I AM) in the prime of my life, doing what I love doing and enjoying the activity and motion and decided there’s no retirement for me.  I’m attracting everything I need and want in this life at this moment so what’s else is there to do but DO IT!

For you-perhaps…but everyone’s has a choice.  🙂

Postulates

Postulates are like thoughts or expressions of prayers-for oneself and others.

Successful prayer or postulates originate as being thoughts brought on by observation. Both need to be positive and carry the vibration of love, admiration, and helpfulness in everyday actions.

The natural law has been said many ways at many times:

Change your thinking, change your life.

What you resist, persists.

What you focus on, brings that to you.

The Christian bible verse of Philippians 4:8 states the same thing: Postulate or think on those things worthy of thinking on-the pure, lovely and good.

Here’s another viewpoint that states the same:

“The more you can invalidate the amount of resistance which the physical universe makes, the more success you are going to have with it because the more your thought will expand to embrace it. Thought, belief, faith—these things are expansive things. …

“It’s awfully simple. If you just looked at life this way and said, ‘Why, I don’t see anything that—offer me any trouble. No obstacles around here that I can see. As far as putting forward my ideas, as far as even thinking up ideas, as far as carrying forward in life at large, I don’t see any obstacles,’ you wouldn’t have any.”

Regardless, it’s all a mind-set*.

Getting Myself Out There

The other day I spoke about the need to get myself out there as a writer, illustrator, and blogger.

HOW to get myself out there IS the trick.  It takes a certain kind of outflow and an inflow in my opinion.  It takes a knowingness and the correct technology to do so. It is done by knowing how to go about writing, publishing, marketing and getting my books sold all over the world.  It is connecting with people all over the world.  Finding this holds true for me, there are social media outlets and also the face to face contacts made each day.  It is being willing and desiring of community within myself, others within my family, the groups I belong to, the flora and fauna in my life and the world.  It goes beyond that-to caring for the earth physically and spiritually.  It is a commitment made each day fulfilling my hopes and dreams for a better world.  It is done by communication, understanding and tolerance.

The message I’m here to bring is about community and for me and you to be a part of that community here where I live and in the world at large.  I believe all of us have that yearning deep inside-to belong, to be understood, and to fulfill our purpose for living.  To be alive, aware, responsible conscious beings.

Thank you for allowing me to be me and I’d love to hear from you as well.

What’s Needed

Just when it seems that life couldn’t get any better (I just published another book), there are obstacles I must overcome to keep doing what I want to in life.  And that’s an every day occurrence.  Since I am an author, illustrator, blogger, etc., then writing and publishing a book isn’t but half the battle.  It’s getting ‘myself’ out there.

It’s really about connecting with people, getting to know them face to face or via social media.  It’s having a following but also following others that are good common sense kinds of folks.  Having a platform, a website, a blog to write, a brand, marketing and promotional tools are just some of what is needed after the fact of publishing.  Perhaps it comes at the same time or before.  But it’s all relative.

I suppose this all falls under communication.

Seems like a daunting task at times.  🙂

Shades of Ability

Since I just published a book on the attributes and potentialities of the human spirit, then I should know what ability means or what it means to be able.  Right?

Sure.  🙂

The ability or inability to do something lies in, perhaps, the very way we go about doing something.  If, for example, I want to paint a picture and do not know what a color, hue or a canvas means or what it means to use shading, or other such art terms, then my painting will reflect it to that degree.  The doingness is dependent upon the understanding of art terms.  The more I know about a subject, its terms and definitions, etc, then the more able I am.  There is an understanding, that with practice and skill, I am able to paint a picture or a better picture.  Maybe one that draws the attention of others.  My art then would communicate something to the audience, like you.

That goes with the marketing of books, too.  If I don’t have a clue to what goes into the marketing of my book, then that makes me less able.   It is a learning process, no doubt.

I have some more homework then, don’t I?  How to do more promotion and on my list of to-dos.  Some expert help has been solicited.  Thanks Rick Lite!

In the meantime, won’t you check out the newest arrival of I AM SPIRIT?

Hope to hear your thoughts, comments or questions.
