How to Help Children be More Able

In today’s fast paced world, helping your children be more able is a necessity.  Regardless of what age they are, each can help do what they are capable of doing.  The more you let them do, the more practice they get and thus, more capable and able.  It’s a great feeling as a parent or a teacher to help them blossom and then watch them do it on their own.

Here’s some things to keep in mind in helping your children become more able:

  • Show them how to do something and explain how it works.  You might have to do so a several times, but be patient as they’ll catch on.  They are fast learners.
  • Be honest.  If you know the answers to their questions, then by all means, share what you know.  Be open to different viewpoints.  If you do not know the answer, there are many resources to find the answer.  But be honest and tell the truth.
  • Give them something to do regularly that helps around the house so they feel that they are contributing to the family.  Explain how the family works and the hats or jobs each participant in the family must do to keep it functioning.  Children find it rewarding to know they are helping out and they are a vital member of the family.
  • Praise them often yet be truthful if something wasn’t done up to standards.  Be critical yet with a soft voice, if you will.  Demeaning their attempts to become more able will just create a stop on their end.  Encourage, encourage, encourage.
  • Once a task is given that they are able to do, then increase the gradient on it and it will increase their ability.  For example:  if younger children like to fold clothes, then the next step is to teach them where the clothes go-in which drawer and so forth.  You might could even label the shelf or drawers with a picture or words.
  • Stay positive in what YOU are doing and set a good example.  The more able you are, the more they will want to emulate that from your example
  • Communicate often and help them express themselves more so that they know they can come to you regardless.  Build a foundation of trust and you’ll have a set the pace for life.

These are just some of the ways that you as a parent or a teacher can help children become more able.  This list is by no means all there is.  There’s bound to be more things to add to this list, so feel free by leaving a comment.  Helping others builds trust and helps to build a better, more capable future for not only others but safeguards the future for yourself as well.

If you found this information useful, then please like, comment and share.

Trump’s speech, Al Wilson’s song, The Snake, (1968) and the Behaviors of People

SO…the bottom line here in this poem is to know who your enemy is, right?  But is everyone our enemy?  No, I think not.  Are all people to be trusted?  No, I think not, not right now.  I think there’s a small percentage of people that are actually out there in the world that intend to create harm and destruction. And do so.  There’s a lot more people in our world that are ‘good’ and want to help others besides themselves.  So,  how do you judge who your ‘enemy’ is or the right person to spend your valuable time with?  How does a person figure this out for himself without doing himself or herself in, in the interim?

So many times bridges are burned because we close the door on those we do not understand or find different in color, race, creed, political or social persuasion, to name a few.  Sometimes, we inadvertently allow ‘the snake’ into our lives that wreck havoc and destruction.  How do you prevent that?

As I listened to Trump read The Snake by Al Wilson (this was a song he wrote in 1968)  I do understand that when you know someone is a liar and a thief, do not trust them…and I would say that’s just common sense.  Try to get them some help immediately from the right sources but don’t let them interfere with you or allow that mindset in your family or group environment.  One is setting himself/herself up for much pain in their life if one does not have this knowledge to act on.

But what of people, in general?  How can you tell what caliber of a person are they?  How ‘good’ or ‘honest’ are they… and how trusting are they?

The bible states, “By their fruits you shall know them” (Matt. 7:16)  That’s a great start…but some people are very sly and ‘vicious’ wanting to bring harm and hurt to others instead of helping those around them.  Take a look at the pretty snake picture below…These snakes might say they did not mean to say or do something, but nevertheless, the harm was done even though they presented themselves as a ‘nice person’.  How could this have been prevented?  How could you protect yourselves and others you love and yet, help others that are deceiving themselves and others?

Here’s a free course you can take online and learn how to ‘read’ and understand people.  I took the course some time ago and I gained a lot of knowledge to use in my every day life .  It would’ve been a great course to take when I was young in school.  So, as a way to help you…take a LOOK!  There’s many other free online courses here that will help you in any area of life.

Closing the Gap with Communication

Back in 2017 when I published my second hardback book, I am a SPIRIT, The ABCs of an Ideal Spirit, I never thought I’d be caught up in disagreements, misunderstandings  and disputes to the extent I am confronted with today and particularly in the area where I live.  My intentions were then, as well as now, pure and based in truth, my truth.  Simply, my intentions are to draw religions together, particularly the viewpoints of Christians to modern day religious views.  I feel at times that great gains are made, yet feel frustrated that the other viewpoints are so ensconced in hardened cement.  There needs to be further discourse and dialog among ‘believers’ and brothers and sisters.

This intention has been my life’s purpose this go ’round, meaning this lifetime-to bring unity and union among believers.  While speaking of believers,   I am a believer in reincarnation or reembodiment meaning coming back into physical form if one has not accomplished his purpose or mission in prior lifetimes and/or paid back or properly recompensed his misuse of energy in the current lifetime.

If mastery of life has been accomplished, if that soul has worked out his salvation, then there awaits for that soul, a life in spirit, not physical form but leaving the body behind in the physical world to continue to do God’s work in the spheres in the limitless universes.  I believe in the Creed of the Catholic Church that says there will be the resurrection and gathering of saints one day…at the end of the age.  I believe in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, in Christian terminology, and also I believe in the soul, his personality and man’s spirit.  Man’s spirit will one day join in and become one with and in Spirit is my viewpoint.

To lay the groundwork for my newly published book, I am a SPIRIT, I will publish how and in what steps the Spirit moved through me to write this book using scripture.

The messages in the book are one-liners and are simple, yet profound.  How it was published was to use a well-known verse and to see God face to face in my neighbors, friends, and acquaintances.  It led me to treat all brothers and sisters, to my best of ability, with patience, kindness and love and with great affinity using the Golden Rule.  I believe Jesus the Christ’s message was thus so.  But for all those that are following this dispute and would like to help bring peace in the world, I lay out the Bible’s own verses itself that spoke to me.  The following verses are the very foundation and cornerstone of truths that I hope bring you joy, understanding and peace, too.  Please share, comment and let me know if and how this resonates with you, won’t you?

Communication is the only path to peace, so let’s dialog.

As you notice, the title of the book above, is the title I was inspired to use from the book’s very conception.  It was the subtitle, too, that explains that there IS an Ideal Spirit…God (or whatever name you call God), who is Spirit.  So follow with me now, the scriptures I used and followed in bringing this book to fruition for all Christian readers alike.

  1. Question:  Who is the Great I AM?  Answer:  The Great I AM is Spirit, or Love.  Scripture Reference: Exodus 3:14
  2. Question:  Who lives in me and is life and gives me life?  Answer:  God lives in me and is Life.  Scripture Reference:  John 14:10
  3. Question: Who is all around us and in us?  Answer:  God or Life is all around us and in us.  Scripture Reference: John 11:25
  4. Question:  Does God find favor?  Answer:  God does not find favor.  Scripture Reference:  Romans 2:9-11
  5. Question: If God is love and those who remain in love remain in God, does God remain in them?  Answer: Yes, God is love, and those who remain in love remain in God and God remains in them.  Scripture Reference: 1 John 4:16
  6. Question: How is the Spirit known?  Answer:  The Spirit is Truth.  Scripture Reference: 1 John 5:6
  7. If Jesus ‘had’ God and God ‘had’ Jesus, then who did Jesus act as?  Answer:  Jesus acted as God because Jesus bears witness of the Spirit within him by saying: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.  (1 John 15:8) Scripture Reference: 1 John 15:9 “Remain in my love.
  8. Question: How do you remain in love?  Answer: We remain in love by living an ethical and moral life following the two greatest commandments to name a couple of ways.  Scripture Reference: 1 John 15:10
  9. Question: What was the Commandment Jesus gave us?  Answer: “This is my commandment, “Love each other just as I have loved you”. Scripture Reference: 1 John 15:12
  10. Question: How shall you know my followers?  Answer: By their fruits you shall you know them.  Scripture Reference:  Matt. 7:16-2

Thus, in conclusion, speak Living Words, speak the Truth of not What’s in you, BUT WHO is in YOU…God, the Great I AM.

This is how the Great I AM led me to write and publish the book, I am a Spirit.  There is no conflict between what Christians believe and the new and ever-growing 21st Century’s religion.  I encourage you to study to show yourself approved…I encourage you to seek out what the Truth is as my brother and sister in Christ.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you and if you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to ask.

And don’t forget to check out my newest book for 2018 for Kids entitled, The Best of me from a-z! Traits and Virtues for Kids It can be found on Amazon, too.   Final Front Cover The Best of Me_edited-1

We are Instruments

We are instruments in the grand symphony of life. That’s why I enjoy watching and listening to orchestras play.  I am usually singing or tapping my hands or feet along or swinging my arms to the rhythm of the music.  My favorite is the playing of classical music, of course, and sung by well known tenor, Andrea Bochelli is a delight to hear.

To give you a little bit of background, take a look here about instrumentation in orchestras:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instrumentation_(music)

There’s many different types of instruments and families or groups of instruments, like the string section, or the brass or woodwind section. They each have a part or piece to play in the grand scheme of things. Just like you and me. There is life (which is the musical composition) and how to be in harmony with others in your family and with the other groups (people, plants, animals, earth, other planets, universes etc) within the orchestra. All must get along and play their music well in order for the music to be pleasing to the audiences ears. All must sound a clear note and in proper timing so that the tempo is lock-step and in unison.

I think we are instruments in the grand symphony of life.  Some people belong to a orchestra group that is reaching puberty, like in middle school, unable to discipline their selves to get up early in the morning to attend music practice at school. Perhaps there’s a few that have moved on to more sophisticated orchestra groups due to their motivation in setting and carrying out of goals. In other words, they can put in their own ethics and achieve their lifelong dreams of playing in the Philharmonic Orchestra.

We are instruments in the grand symphony of life. We each need the other. We depend upon the Conductor to lead us and Guide us. Without the conductor, there is no harmony or understanding of the music being played. The Conductor knows each of his instruments. He knows them by name. He has a personal relationship with each one. It’s kind of like religion, too. There’s many kinds and all need to work together to benefit mankind. There should be a respecting of each other’s religion just as there is a proper respect given for each section playing in the orchestra. Without the other, we have no beautiful music to share.

When we each can conduct ourselves and play the music that we truly are, then I believe we have become, each of us, Conductors. We are instruments in the grand symphony of life and music is the means.pexels-photo-58865.jpeg
