Ever do things that you wonder if you did them or not? You don’t remember doing things because you set those things on automatic. You “forget” quite well so as to not remember them plus it puts you a frame of mind that you are really not “present”. And you aren’t, are you?
How many things in our environment do we set up to be on automatic instead of engaging those things in present time? Can machines do the work of active engagement or involvement? Perhaps some things are okay like setting the coffee pot to perk at 6AM to have your coffee ready when you get up. Or maybe it’s notokay. I am just tossing this idea out there. How about the more we do for ourselves, the more self-determined we are if done in present time? Knowing what you are doing when you are doing it is being present.
We can still “do” for ourselves, but if it isn’t actively engaged, then we are set on automatic. Any thoughts from YOU?
Have a great day….and DO check out the link just for fun!
Hi…How are you today? The Best of Me today will be to listen to others and to actually spend some time talking with them. To really listen and engage in meaningful conversation. That sounds like a worthy goal today, doesn’t it?
So, I AM here to listen and to communicate with you in whatever way you desire. What would you like to talk about? Is there someone somewhere that you’d like to talk to but can’t for some reason? I think we can bring a lot of healing in the world if we but COMMUNICATE meaningfully with each other.
I hope to hear from you today…drop me a line and I’ll be ready to communicate with you on anything. Or give me a call…I’ll pick up the phone.
Some people, including myself, have been in the category of victim at some point of our lives. Why? Well, for many reasons as we all can surmise. I will not to go into the many and varied reasons here in this brief, but what I do want to go into is addressing the following question:
Does living life constitute just ‘watching’ it or being the effect of it or does living life mean that you actually get in there and do something pro-active, productive or causative with your life? I hold the belief that times continue to change and so much so lately in regard to surviving and thriving, that one must grab life by the horns or it will eventually eat you up. This means personally and collectively. I believe that our Supreme Being gave each one of us the means and the ability to survive. Maybe the means and the abilities are different, but what if you could actually know the technology of how to do something and then practice it until you got really good at it so as to not be the effect or victim of it but the cause of good things happening in your life and in others lives as well?
Do you believe that you are accountable and responsible for everything that happens to you in life? Are you a victim of life or a person that learns the basics of life and applies them?
How well off financially can you or I be? What does it mean to be wealthy and upon what does wealth depend? How about being happy and successful in relationships, creating that beautiful marriage, having strong and healthy children mentally, physically and spiritually, or holding down a job, communicating effectively and so forth? How does one go about life to learn and apply all of this much needed knowledge?
I leave that question up to you to answer for yourself, but here’s some help if you are curious.

Sitting here at the Blue Dot Cafe & Coffee Bar in Alameda, CA relishing in the busyness of life. A few people in line getting their morning scone and coffee before heading out to work. The music playing is reminiscent of the 70’s with For What It’s Worth by Buffalo Springfield. Parents bringing their children in for a bit of breakfast like maybe a Scrambled Egg Sandwich or a French Toast Strata. Pairs just awakened sit down to a new day to share an espresso and Poached Eggs & Toast with Chicken Apple Sausage. It’s the cashier/waitress here that’s special, though. She has learned the art of communicating & tolerance and by her eye contact, loves what she does; loves being around people. She lives to serve. You can feel it. A good vibration. People are smiling here.
This invokes within me the continued excitement of being around others, helping others. I think the secret of life and happiness is just that-helping. It’s a simple word. Find what you like to do and help others with those skills.
As far as the Blue Dot Cafe & Coffee Bar…I wish them the best in their new found business adventure. I think they are off to a great start!
